Antalya Airport to Kemer transfer
Kemer lies about 61 km south-west of Antalya Airport, on the far side of the bay where the Beydağları mountains drop almost straight into the sea. It feels unlike the resorts east of the city: pine forest instead of flat farmland, pebble and shingle beaches instead of long sand, and air that stays a little cooler through July and August. The town is built around its marina, with the smaller villages of Beldibi, Göynük, Çamyuva and Tekirova strung along the same coast. Walkers, divers and families who want mountains as well as swimming tend to end up here.
The transfer leaves the airport on the Antalya ring road, skirting the city to the north before dropping down past Konyaaltı and joining the D400 towards Kumluca. From there the highway is cut into the slopes above the water, climbing and curving through short tunnels for the last half of the journey. Allow roughly 55 minutes for the 61 km. Summer afternoons usually cost time on the city bypass rather than on the coast road itself, and after dark the mountain section is quiet but unlit in places, so the pace eases on the bends.
