Antalya to Kemer private transfer

This is the journey out of the city rather than into it. Some passengers are moving on to the resort half of their trip after a few nights in the old town or a rented flat above Konyaaltı beach. Others are staying in Antalya and want the day the city cannot provide: the boats that leave Kemer's harbour for the coves along the Beydağları shore, the three small harbours of Phaselis lying among the pines, the cable car up Tahtalı, the path into the Göynük canyon. A steady number are simply visiting relatives who booked a hotel on that coast while they themselves stayed in town.

The road leaves the city on the Konyaaltı side, drops to the seafront and runs west with the mountains growing nearer and higher the whole way. Past the last suburbs and the market gardens the pines close in and the D400 climbs on to the ledge above the water: short tunnels through the rock, long curves with the sea below, then the descent to Beldibi, the run through Göynük and the final kilometres into Kemer. 45 km, about 45 minutes. The slow part is getting clear of Antalya at the end of the working day; beyond the suburbs the pace is steady and by evening the road is largely empty.

• A city pickup is not a hotel forecourt: give the street and a point where a car can wait, which inside the walls of Kaleiçi usually means one of the gates, and the driver will be there with a name sign.
• Not everything on the Kemer list is in Kemer: Phaselis and the lower station of the Tahtalı cable car both lie south of the town, down by Tekirova, so a day out adds to the 45 km quoted here.
• Leaving between five and seven in the evening means the first ten minutes are the slowest part of the whole drive; earlier or later, the 45 minutes hold up well.
• For a day out, fix where the car will be at the end as well as the time — the harbour car park and a hotel entrance are very different meeting points.
