Antalya Airport → Olimpos Transfer

Olimpos is a valley rather than a resort. A stream runs down to the sea between Lycian and Roman ruins, and wooden bungalows and tree-house pensions line the lane that follows it. The ancient city is scattered through the undergrowth on both banks — a theatre, a carved gateway, sarcophagi half buried in greenery — and the beach at the bottom is shared with Çıralı across the water. An Antalya Airport transfer to Olimpos covers 95 km of coast and brings a different crowd than the hotel strips do: climbers, walkers on the Lycian Way, and people after a few nights that have nothing to do with hotels.

Reckon on 80 minutes for the 95 km, and think of it as two journeys. The first is highway: the coast road past Kemer and Tekirova, then a climb inland through forest where the air cools and the sea drops out of sight. The second starts at a single signed junction, where the car turns off and follows the valley down for about eight kilometres — surfaced but narrow, walled by pine, with passing places instead of a second lane. Nobody hurries that part, and at the bottom the road simply stops among the pensions.
