Going home, the hour on the road comes on top of the time the airline wants you in the terminal, so from Kiriş the pickup usually falls about three hours before take-off: a 10:00 flight means a car at the resort shortly before seven, and the earliest departures mean leaving in the dark. The road is the predictable part, Kiriş Caddesi back to the D400, the coast north to Konyaaltı, then the ring roads across Antalya, and the 68 km take about 60 minutes once the car is moving.

The resort stretches along the shore, with villas on the waterfront and Lagoon Suites by the pool, so the minutes between your door and the car belong in the plan as much as the drive does. Ask at reception the day before where departing guests meet their transfer, pass that on to us with the pickup time, and have the cases ready a few minutes early. Anything that has to be handed back, room cards, wristbands, the safe key, is best returned before the luggage goes out.

• When check-out comes hours before an evening flight, sort out a day room or a changing room with the hotel; the car is booked for your flight, not for your check-out.
• A pickup at five in the morning costs the same as one at noon: the fare was fixed for the whole vehicle when you booked, and there is no night rate.
• Heading back, the car goes past Kemer, so a final stop in town or at the marina can be added; since it changes the route and may change the fare, it belongs in the booking rather than on the day.
