The way out reverses the way in: up Karapınar Caddesi, right along Karayer Caddesi, then north on Atatürk Bulvarı, back through the roundabout and up the long boulevard to its junction with the D400. That is close to three kilometres of town driving before the highway begins, past hotel entrances, shopfronts and pedestrian crossings. At dawn it takes a few minutes; on a summer evening, with half of Kemer out on foot, it can take noticeably longer, and the spare time belongs to the town rather than to the coast road.

Once the car is on the D400, the 61 km to the terminals usually keep to the 55-minute estimate: Göynük, Beldibi, the tunnels, Konyaaltı and the ring road. The city end is where a margin is needed, above all on Saturday changeover mornings, when tour coaches crowd the same road. We work the pickup time back from your flight and the time of day and agree it when you book; at the agreed hour the driver pulls up at the hotel entrance on Karapınar Caddesi.

• A last stroll round the marina fits easily into a late check-out day, but it is roughly ten minutes on foot each way, so be back in the lobby well before the car is due.
• A delayed or rescheduled flight is best reported to us directly by message; the front desk cannot move a booking it did not make.
• Karapınar Caddesi is a residential side street, so have the cases ready in the lobby; loading is quickest when the car does not have to stand in the lane.
