Going home, the inland position works for you rather than against you. From Karacaltı Caddesi the car comes back down to the junction and turns right straight onto the westbound D400, the direction of Antalya, with no loop and no oncoming lanes to cross. So the first minute of the departure is the simplest of the whole stay, and on an early pickup the car is running west through Avsallar and on towards Okurcalar almost as soon as the doors are shut.

The road back is the same 106 km, about 90 minutes, through Manavgat and Serik to the airport junction. Where time slips away is at the hotel rather than on the highway: the car waits in the forecourt up the side street, not on the D400, so be at the door at the agreed hour with the bags already brought down. Tell reception the night before that you are leaving early; a checkout before dawn goes faster when the bill has been settled the previous evening.

• Set the pickup from the flight time, not from checkout: 90 minutes of road plus whatever check-in margin your airline asks for.
• If a driver ever needs guiding by phone, the hotel's name and Karacaltı Caddesi are enough; the entrance is only a short way in from the highway.
• Inflatables and beach bags that spent the week on the far side of the D400 tend to reappear on the last evening, so pack them before the car comes rather than in the forecourt.
