Antalya Airport to Kaptan Hotel transfer
Kaptan Hotel stands at İskele Caddesi 70, the street that follows Alanya's harbour beneath the castle headland, close to the Seljuk walls and looking out over the moored boats and the bay. The Red Tower, the octagonal thirteenth-century Kızılkule that has guarded the harbour since the Seljuks, is about 200 metres along the quay, and the old Seljuk shipyard, the Tersane, some 500 metres from the hotel, past the tower at the foot of the rock. This is a town hotel in the oldest part of Alanya: the harbour restaurants, the boat-trip moorings and the bazaar streets are all on foot.
The transfer from Antalya Airport is 127 km and takes about 105 minutes, an hour and three quarters. The D400 carries the car east past Aksu, Serik and Manavgat, then along the shore through Okurcalar, Avsallar, Türkler and Konaklı, and Alanya is entered from the west. Unlike the resorts on the open coast, the finish here is town driving: the car crosses the centre towards the harbour and comes down onto İskele Caddesi, and on a summer evening those last streets move more slowly than any stretch of highway. Your driver meets you in the arrivals hall holding a name sign and keeps an eye on the flight.
