To Antalya it is 95 km and about eighty minutes, and Okurcalar sits far enough east that Gazipaşa-Alanya is a genuine alternative for the flights that use it. If your airline leaves from Gazipaşa, the journey east is shorter than the journey west, and it is worth checking which airport is printed on the ticket before assuming Antalya. If it is Antalya, then eighty minutes of road plus the airport's own queues is the sum to work backwards from, and the margin here is not a formality.

Hotel entrances open off short access roads below the highway, so the return leg starts by climbing back onto the D400 — a small thing that takes longer in traffic than it looks. Then comes the long westbound run past Kızılağaç, Kızılot and Manavgat, where the local traffic thickens from mid-morning; nearer Antalya, Serik and Aksu do the same. An afternoon departure also drives into the sun for the last hour. The terminal approach, and then finding the right door among Antalya's terminals, is the final step.

• Check whether your flight leaves from Antalya or from Gazipaşa-Alanya, because from Okurcalar the two lie in opposite directions.
• Rejoining the D400 from the access road is the slowest part of the start, so count it into the pickup time rather than onto the end.
• Eighty minutes is long enough that a stop on the way belongs in the booking, where the route is settled along with everything else.
