Changeover days bring several cars and minibuses to this part of Güzelyalı Caddesi at once, which is why the name on the booking matters. The driver comes to the corner of Kum Sokak and Güzelyalı, not to the Riviera Hotel & Spa door further along. Kum Sokak is one-way towards the sea, so the car leaves along the seafront road, rejoins Atatürk Bulvarı by another side street and sets off for Antalya; the 126 km take about 105 minutes, a little more when the coast road is at its summer busiest.

Night departures from this corner are straightforward: the seafront road is quiet, the car can stand at the kerb while the bags go in, and the avenue above is clear. What varies is Manavgat, roughly halfway back, where the D400 meets traffic lights and the river bridge. Before six in the morning it costs almost nothing; late on a summer Saturday morning it can add a quarter of an hour. Choose the pickup hour with that stretch in mind, not the quiet street outside the door.
