Leaving Beldibi for the airport, the first kilometres are the quiet ones. From the hotel door the car is back on the D400 within a few minutes, and the cliff section with its tunnels runs north towards Konyaaltı with little to slow it at any hour. The part that changes with the clock is Antalya itself: the ring roads around the city carry commuter traffic from about half past seven and again in the late afternoon, and in July and August the junctions near Konyaaltı fill with beach traffic. Pre-dawn departures see none of that, and the 45 minutes for the 49 km are generous.

The pickup is at the main entrance on the village street, the same side where you arrived, not on the D400 behind the grounds. Give the name and the number, Dosinia Luxury Resort, Başkomutan Atatürk Caddesi 508, when you book, since several other Beldibi hotels share the same street name. If the beach towels and wet swimming things need packing on the last morning, leave a quarter of an hour for that before the agreed time rather than after it.

• For a midday or afternoon flight, add a margin for the city ring roads, because the slow kilometres on this route are in Antalya, not on the coast.
• Check-out and the pickup are separate arrangements: settle the hotel bill before the car arrives so the agreed hour is the hour you leave.
• Children's seats are fitted before the car leaves for Beldibi, so ask for them on the departure booking as well as on the arrival.
