Leaving Catamaran is a short affair at the start. The entrance faces a village street rather than a long hotel drive, so the car stops at the door and is back on the D400 within minutes of the boot closing. That makes the agreed hour very literal: there is no private approach to absorb a late checkout, so the bill should be settled and the keys handed in before the car is due. Larissa Mare Beach opens onto the same street, so in the dark wait at your own entrance, not the neighbour's.

Northbound the journey is the arrival reversed: up out of Beldibi, through the cliff tunnels to Konyaaltı, then the ring road across Antalya to the terminals. The 45 km take about 45 minutes on an open road, and before sunrise the road usually is open. In the late afternoon it is the city half that thickens, not the coastal tunnels, so a departure close to rush hour deserves extra margin on the Antalya side. Count back from your check-in deadline, add the drive and that margin, and give the result as the pickup hour when you book.

• Whichever of the two hotel names is on your paperwork, put the street number on the departure booking as well; it separates this door from the other entrances along Beldibi's seafront.
• The village shops beside the hotel may still be shut for a pre-dawn pickup, so buy water and something to eat for the road the evening before.
• List the children's seats for the ride back to the airport as well as for the arrival, because they are fitted before the car leaves for Beldibi.
