On the way out, the side of the avenue works against you for a moment. The hotel opens onto the southbound carriageway, which points towards the marina rather than the airport, so the car first drives a short way down the boulevard and turns back at the next opening in the central reservation. From there it is some 1.4 km north up Atatürk Bulvarı to the junction with the D400, and then the coast road back towards Göynük, Beldibi and Antalya, where the 55-minute estimate assumes free-flowing traffic.

The tunnel section north of Kemer rarely slows anything; the city end does. Konyaaltı's boulevard and the ring road gather commuter traffic in the morning rush and again in the late afternoon, and on summer Saturdays the coach traffic for hotel changeovers joins it. We therefore set the pickup time from your flight and the hour of day together, and agree it when you book. Have your passports and the booking reference to hand in the lobby, since the driver comes to the door rather than calling up to the room.

• Wait inside the hotel entrance rather than on the boulevard pavement; the car pulls in from the near carriageway.
• If your flight changes, message us with the new time instead of telling the reception desk, so the pickup is moved accordingly.
• Guests who want a last walk round the marina should plan to be back at the hotel well before the agreed time, as it is a fair stroll each way.
