The car comes along Sahil Caddesi to the hotel at the time agreed when you booked, and before dawn the street holds little more than other airport cars collecting guests from neighbouring hotels, so the pickup itself is quick. Hand in the keys and settle any extras at reception before the car is due, because the driver will want to rejoin the D400 promptly with the whole coast road still ahead.

The way back runs north past Kemer on the highway, then through Göynük, Beldibi, the tunnels and Konyaaltı before the ring road delivers you to the terminal: 67 km, about 60 minutes in normal traffic. Since Kiriş lies beyond the town, the trip is a few kilometres longer than from the hotels in Kemer itself, and that difference is already inside the figure. What actually moves the timing is the Antalya end at rush hour, so for an afternoon or early-evening flight keep a margin for the city section.

• When a tour rep or relative books your departure, ask that the confirmation reads Viking Park, Kiriş, so the car is not sent to a Viking hotel in central Kemer instead.
• A child seat booked for the arrival is not carried over automatically; ask for it again if the departure is booked as a separate trip.
• A late flight on the day you check out is easier if reception keeps the luggage and the pickup is worked out backwards from the flight time, not from the hour you leave the room.
