Rai Foresta Tekirova to Antalya Airport: return transfer & taxi

A hotel built around families empties in a particular way on changeover mornings. Tour-operator coaches work their way along Tekirova collecting from several hotels in turn, and the lobby fills with guests watching the door for the right one. A private car does not join that round: it is booked to this gate at an hour you have chosen and leaves when you are in it. The one confusion to avoid is next door. The Rixos shares this end of the beach, so a booking that says Rai Foresta Tekirova and gives the street number takes the guesswork out of a dark arrival.

Northbound, the slow part comes first. From the village the car climbs back to the D400 and has the forest section ahead of it, winding past Çamyuva towards Kemer, where an overtaking chance is rare and a coach in front sets the pace. After Kemer the road flattens along the coast through Göynük and Beldibi to Konyaaltı, and the city's ring road delivers the car to the terminal. In the small hours the 77 km take the 70 minutes quoted; once the day's coaches are moving, the forest stretch is where the extra minutes go.

• Families heading home from Tekirova should list the children's seats on the return booking itself, with the children's ages; the car that comes to the gate carries what that booking asks for.
• Give the street number, Şehit Er Hasan Yılmaz Caddesi 18, with the hotel name: at this end of Tekirova the Rixos gate is the next one along.
• For a morning flight, put the pickup at least three and a half hours before departure: 70 minutes of road, the airline's check-in window and a margin for the forest section.
