Leaving, the town comes first and the highway second. From Ananas Sokak the car goes up to Keykubat Bulvarı and then crosses Alanya from east to west, past the centre and inland of the castle hill, before the D400 frees up beyond the western suburbs. Late at night the signals are empty and the crossing is brief; by day, and on summer evenings above all, the stretch through town is where the minutes go. After Konaklı the coast road runs west through Avsallar and Manavgat to the plain and the terminal, 130 km and about 110 minutes in all.

Because the hotel stands in a side street rather than on the boulevard, the car collects you at its own entrance on Ananas Sokak. If the last morning goes on Keykubat Beach, count in the walk back across the boulevard and up the street, a shower and the final packing before the agreed hour, since the driver arrives when the booking says. Morning flights to northern Europe mean leaving here deep in the night, so settle the bill the evening before and ask reception whether anyone will be at the desk at that hour.
