Antalya Airport to Fethiye transfer
Fethiye is the largest town on this stretch of the Lycian coast: a harbour that still works for a living, with a bay full of islands in front of it and a hillside of Lycian rock tombs cut into the cliff behind. The old bazaar quarter, the fish market and the long marina promenade keep it busy outside the holiday months as well. Most people who fly here land at Dalaman, so a transfer from Antalya Airport to Fethiye is usually a matter of flight times rather than distance. It is 200 km, and you finish in a different province.
The direct route leaves the coast almost immediately. From the airport the road skirts Antalya, climbs onto the plateau at Korkuteli, crosses the Elmalı basin and comes down through Seydikemer into the Eşen valley. Allow about 2 hours 40 minutes for the 200 km, most of it inland and at altitude. It is a calmer drive than the coastal D400 through Kaş and Kalkan, which is longer and far more winding. Up on the plateau the country is empty — fields, small towns, pine. In winter it can be cold and wet there while Fethiye stays mild.
