Antalya Airport to Göcek transfer
Göcek is a yachting town and very little else: a few streets of plane trees, buildings kept deliberately low, restaurants along the water and half a dozen separate marinas sharing one sheltered bay. There is no hotel skyline and no long beach, because people come here to board something. In June the crowd is crews, charter guests and families joining a gulet for a week among the Twelve Islands. It lies 230 km from Antalya, so the transfer from Antalya Airport to Göcek is neither the shortest nor the longest of these western runs.
For most of this drive you do not see the sea at all. The road climbs away from Antalya within minutes and spends the next two hours on high farmland behind the coast, coming back down only in the Eşen valley before it swings west. Allow about 3 hours 5 minutes. What everyone remembers is the end: the highway dives into the tunnel under the ridge that replaced the slow haul over the old pass, and you come out the far side with the bay laid out below. Light traffic, no town centres to crawl through — the timing on this leg holds up better than the distance suggests.
