Antalya Airport to Dalaman transfer
Dalaman is a working town on a flat agricultural plain — citrus, cotton, greenhouses — with the region's airport on its edge. Almost nobody holidays in the town itself; it is the point people pass through on the way to Göcek, Sarıgerme, Dalyan and the Fethiye coast, and the İztuzu turtle beach and the Dalaman river are what the area is known for. A transfer from Antalya Airport to Dalaman is therefore usually a connection: 230 km between two airports, booked because an arrival and a departure do not share one.
Expect about 3 hours 5 minutes for the drive. The road leaves Antalya inland over the Korkuteli and Elmalı plateau, comes down into the Eşen valley near Seydikemer and then runs west past the Göcek turn onto the Dalaman plain, where the last half hour is flat and straight. Three hours is a real journey rather than a hop: the middle section climbs and descends without pause, mobile signal comes and goes in the hills, and in July the plain at the end of it is noticeably hotter than the coast you left.
