Leaving, the village comes first: from İskele Sokak back up through the centre of Konaklı to the highway. At five in the morning those streets are empty and the car is on the D400 almost at once; by mid-morning delivery vans and dolmuş minibuses stop wherever they need to, and the same few hundred metres can take as long as several kilometres of open road. Once the car has turned west it is the arrival in reverse, through Türkler, Avsallar and Okurcalar and round Manavgat, and 105 km in roughly 90 minutes is a sound basis for planning.

The new name matters more at departure than at arrival. Vouchers issued before the change may still read Palmeras Beach, so check that the return booking carries White City Palmare together with the street. Then count backwards from the flight: the check-in window your airline sets, the 90 minutes on the road, and a margin on summer changeover weekends, when coaches from the whole Alanya coast head for Antalya in the same few hours. If the ticket says GZP rather than AYT, tell us before anything else: Gazipaşa airport is the nearer one, listed at about 55 km from the hotel.

• The car waits at the street entrance on the village side, not down by the pier, so be at reception with the cases at the agreed hour.
• A last swim off the private beach fits best before breakfast; keep the final hour for showering, packing wet things and checking out.
• A busy hour in Konaklı's centre can add a few minutes before the highway, which changes the clock but never the fare, fixed per vehicle when you booked.
