The departure works the other way round. Heading for Antalya, the car runs in the westbound lanes, which pass along the inland side of the highway next to Block B, so that is the natural place to be collected, and guests from Block A cross by the underpass with their cases. Agree this with reception the evening before and give the meeting side when you book the pickup; in the dark, on a divided highway, a driver cannot simply swing over to the other door.

Once on the move, the route is direct: back through the İncekum bays and Okurcalar, then Manavgat, where junctions and the bridge over the river hold up morning traffic, and after that the open dual carriageway past Serik and Aksu to the terminal. The 104 km take about 90 minutes. In high summer the airport-bound traffic of the whole coast converges on the Manavgat stretch at the same hours, so build in a margin rather than counting on the bare figure.

• Name the block as well as the hotel on the departure booking, Rubi Hotel Block A or Block B, so the driver knows which side of the D400 to wait on.
• For the pickup hour, take the 90 minutes of driving, add the check-in time your airline asks for, and round up rather than down.
• Minibus stops on the D400 are a short walk from the hotel, but with suitcases before dawn a booked car from the block entrance is the simpler way to the terminal.
