On the way out, the car climbs back up Şehitler Caddesi to the D400, turns north and is inside the first tunnel within a minute or two. At night and before dawn this is a fast, even road. Later in the day the coaches bound for Kemer and the excursion traffic heading the other way make the tunnels slower, and on summer weekends Antalya families driving out to the beaches add to it. The 45 km and the 45 minutes are at their most reliable on an early pickup.

The car stops at the hotel entrance on Atatürk Caddesi. Because the sand is just over the road, a last morning swim can quietly run long on the far side of the street, so agree the pickup hour when you book, leave the cases in the lobby beforehand and be back across the road well before the car is due.
