The hotel stands beside the eastbound carriageway of the boulevard, and the airport lies west. The car therefore either arrives the way it came on your first day and has to turn round once it has collected you, or waits on the far side and you cross with the cases. Whichever it is, settle which side the pickup is on when you book, so nobody is waving across the traffic.

Once the car is heading west, Konaklı and the stretch through Avsallar come quickly, with Okurcalar and the long run down to Manavgat next. Its junctions and traffic lights are where the run can slow down. The plain past Serik and Aksu follows, and the terminals stand at the end of it, 125 km and about 105 minutes from the door in normal traffic. For a morning flight that puts the pickup in the dark, which is worth mentioning at reception the night before.
