On the way back the order reverses: up the lane to Atatürk Caddesi, north along the village street for close to 3 km, then onto the D400 and through the tunnels towards Antalya. In daytime that village stretch is the slowest part of the whole trip, with delivery vans, parked cars and pedestrians, but before dawn it is empty and takes only a few minutes. The 48 km normally take the same 45 minutes as on arrival, and the delays that matter come later, in the city, where the ring road fills up on weekday mornings.

Because the hotel stands back from the street, the car comes down the lane to the entrance rather than stopping on Atatürk Caddesi, so there is no reason to carry cases up to the road. For an early flight, decide the hour when you book and count backwards from the departure time; leaving before about seven, the village street costs almost nothing, while a mid-morning start should allow for it. If the luggage or the party has grown over the holiday, tell us the day before, so the car that turns into the lane is big enough.
