Going home, the length of the drive is what to plan around: 119 km and about 100 minutes back to Antalya, which, added to an airline's check-in window, puts many morning departures' pickups well before dawn. The first part, through Konaklı, Türkler and Avsallar, is the slowest by day, because the road runs past a nearly unbroken line of hotels and shops with frequent junctions and crossings. In the small hours it is empty, and the car is out on the open dual carriageway beyond Okurcalar in good time.

Leave time inside the resort as well. Guests report steep paths and plenty of stairs, so bringing cases down from an upper block takes longer than the walk to reception suggests; if the internal shuttle runs at your departure hour, ask the evening before. Give the block or room number together with the full hotel name on the departure booking, since there are Senza hotels in Türkler and Mahmutlar too, and a rushed message can send a car to the wrong one.

• Flying out of Gazipaşa instead of Antalya is a different, shorter journey; book it as that route rather than this one.
• For a midday flight from Antalya, a pickup straight after breakfast meets Konaklı's daytime traffic, so add a margin to the 100 minutes.
