Riviera Hotel & Spa is a town hotel at Güzelyalı Caddesi 32, in Alanya's Saray quarter on the western side of the centre. It fills the narrow block between Atatürk Bulvarı, the avenue that carries the D400 through town, and Güzelyalı Caddesi, the quieter street on the sea side, and Cleopatra Beach begins about 50 metres from the door. The castle headland closes the view to the east. A few steps west, on Kum Sokak, stands Riviera Zen Hotel, an adults-only house that is a separate booking with its own entrance.

The transfer from Antalya Airport is 126 km and takes about 105 minutes. The D400 runs east past Aksu, Serik and Manavgat, then hugs the coast through Okurcalar, Avsallar, Türkler and Konaklı until Alanya begins and the highway becomes Atatürk Bulvarı. Just short of the hotel the car turns off the avenue towards the sea and comes round to Güzelyalı Caddesi, where the entrance is. Your driver waits in the arrivals hall with your name on a sign and follows the flight, so a delay only moves the meeting.

Going back, the car leaves Güzelyalı Caddesi by a side street, rejoins Atatürk Bulvarı and heads west straight away, so the crowded streets round the harbour are never part of the trip. Konaklı, Türkler and Avsallar follow along the shore, then the coast opens out towards Manavgat, which has the lights and junctions that most often cost time. Allow the full 105 minutes for the 126 km, and a little more on a summer Saturday, when every hotel along this coast changes guests on the same day.

A town address has its advantages on the last day. With a late flight, Cleopatra Beach is close enough for a final swim after checkout, as long as reception keeps the cases and has a shower you can use. With an early one the opposite applies: an hour and three quarters of driving plus the check-in time puts the pickup in the small hours, when Saray is quiet and the car can wait in front of the door without hurrying anyone.

  • Name the pickup as Riviera Hotel & Spa, Güzelyalı Caddesi 32, and the driver will come to the beach-side door rather than look for you on the avenue.
  • If your ticket says GZP rather than AYT you are flying from Gazipaşa, east of Alanya, which is a different and shorter transfer to book separately.
