The departure begins by rejoining the D400 on its seaward, eastbound side and turning round, since the two directions are separated here. Once heading west, at this end of Okurcalar the car crosses the Alara almost immediately and leaves the hotel strip behind within a minute or two, which is a small advantage over hotels deeper into the village. The 92 km to the airport then follow the coast back through Kızılot and Manavgat, and the 80 minutes are honest at night and in the early morning.
