Leaving Konaklı is the arrival in reverse, and it opens with the part that varies most. With the hotel only about 200 metres from the village centre, the first minutes back onto the D400 run through the busiest part of Konaklı, empty before dawn and slower once the morning traffic fills the centre. Once on the highway the car turns west, and the 113 km run back through Türkler, Avsallar and Okurcalar, past Manavgat and Serik. On the summer changeover days the stretch around Manavgat is where time goes; on other days the 95 minutes hold.

Give the hotel as Palmeras Beach Hotel, İskele Sokak, never just Palmeras, because the other two hotels with that word in their names are on the same stretch of shore and a mix-up before sunrise costs more than any traffic jam.
