Leaving, the car does not simply reverse the way it came. From Plaj Sokak it threads west and north through Konaklı's grid of side streets before it reaches the D400, and in the daytime those streets carry the ordinary traffic of a busy resort town. In the small hours they are empty and the highway comes within minutes. Once on it, the 117 km back to the terminal run west past Türkler, Avsallar and Manavgat, and the 100-minute estimate holds outside the busiest summer afternoons.

Shake it out the night before and keep wet things in a bag of their own, since every case goes into the same boot.
