Transfers from Dalaman Airport
Private transfers from Dalaman Airport (DLM) to Sarıgerme, Dalyan, Marmaris, Göcek, Fethiye, Ölüdeniz, Kalkan and Kaş: one fixed price per car, flight tracked.
On this page
Dalaman Airport is the gateway to the Muğla shore and the western end of Lycia, and few of the people who land there are staying in Dalaman itself. Some head west to the beach hotels of Sarıgerme, the river town of Dalyan or the bay at Marmaris. Others go east: to the marinas of Göcek, to Fethiye and Çalış, up to Ovacık and Hisarönü, down to the lagoon at Ölüdeniz, and on along the Lycian coast to Kalkan and Kaş. Each of those journeys is listed below as its own leg, with a page that describes the road. This page is about picking the right one, giving the booking the detail it needs, and making arrival evening run without loose ends.
Every leg works the same way: a car and driver for your party alone, one way, at a price per vehicle settled before you fly, so a late landing or a slow road changes the hour you arrive but not the fare. A collection on departure day, or a driver who waits somewhere along the route, can be added at the booking stage. For the journey home there are separate departure pages for the Fethiye, Ölüdeniz and Göcek side, for Marmaris, Dalyan and Sarıgerme, and for Kaş and Kalkan, which deal with leave-by times rather than arrivals.
Back to the airport
Two directions from one terminal
The airport lies on the flat delta south of Dalaman town, and almost as soon as the car leaves the terminal grounds the coast splits in two. The western resorts are reached across the farmland of the delta, and for Dalyan and Marmaris on into the lake country around Köyceğiz. The eastern ones lie beyond the ridge at Göcek, which the highway passes through in a tunnel before coming down to Fethiye at the head of its gulf; past Fethiye the same road continues deeper into Lycia, across the broad Eşen valley and on towards Kalkan and Kaş.
The two halves share nothing beyond the airport road. A party split between a villa in Dalyan and a hotel in Ölüdeniz is really two journeys pointing in opposite directions, so decide before you fly whether that means two cars or one car making both drops in a set order; either works if we hear about it in advance. Check your own address against the list, too: Ovacık is booked under Hisarönü, and İçmeler sits round the bay from Marmaris rather than inside it.
- West of the airport: Sarıgerme, Dalyan, then Marmaris and İçmeler beyond the hills
- East through Göcek: Göcek itself, Fethiye and Çalış, Ovacık and Hisarönü, Ölüdeniz
- Further east along Lycia: Kalkan, then Kaş
Book the address, not just the resort
Almost every name on this list covers several places a car can stop. Göcek has more than one marina plus a town quay. Fethiye can mean the harbour front, Karagözler or the separate beach at Çalış across the bay. Ölüdeniz hotels sit either down by the beach road or on the slope above it, Marmaris covers seafront hotels, old-town flats and marina berths alike, and in Dalyan and Kalkan many rented houses stand on lanes that only make sense with a dropped pin.
So send the exact name of the hotel, villa or boat, the street or pontoon if you know it, and a map pin from your host for any private house. Where a lane is narrow, steep or closed to traffic, find out from the owner where a car can legally stop and turn; that is a quick message a week ahead and a slow search at a gate after dark.
Landing at Dalaman: the meeting and the wait
Flights from abroad use the international terminal, and that is where the driver stands: in the arrivals hall, past passport control and the baggage belts, holding a sign with the lead passenger's name. Dalaman also has a smaller domestic terminal in a separate building a short walk away. If your last flight is a domestic connection, through Istanbul for instance, put that flight number on the booking rather than your long-haul one, so the driver waits at the right door.
The pickup follows the flight number. Charters onto this coast often land late in the evening or after midnight and their timings drift; when the aircraft is late, the meeting moves with it, so there is no need to hurry through the queues on our account. If a suitcase fails to appear, report it at the lost-baggage desk and send a WhatsApp message while you wait there. Keep one phone in the party switched on with roaming or a local SIM: it is the only link between the aircraft door and the hall.
Luggage, children and the late drive east
Size the vehicle by bags as well as by passengers. Four adults with cabin bags and a family of four with two big cases each, a buggy and a cot are different loads, and the choice is made at booking, not in the car park. Name anything bulky in advance, such as golf bags, dive gear or a bicycle box. Child seats are fitted beforehand if you give the number of children and their ages.
The longer eastern legs need a little planning of their own. After a late landing, the run to Kalkan or Kaş happens wholly in the dark and finishes with a long, winding descent into town, and the drop to Ölüdeniz and the forest road into Marmaris have bends of their own. Put anyone prone to travel sickness in the front with the remedy in a pocket. Shops in the smaller resorts may be shut when you arrive, so if you need water, milk or breakfast for the first morning, ask for a short supermarket stop in a town the road already passes through.
Yacht and gulet guests at Göcek and Marmaris
Plenty of Dalaman arrivals are heading for a boat rather than a hotel. Göcek and Marmaris are two of the main yacht-charter bases on this coast, and the timing snag is the same at both: aircraft land when they land, while charter companies set their own boarding hour, often well into the afternoon. Compare the two before you fly. If the gap is long, the car can drop you at a café in the village first, wait by arrangement, or collect you later from somewhere else, all of which are simple to plan and awkward to improvise.
With the booking, include the name of the boat, its marina and the berth or pontoon number, and mention boxes of provisions or kit, since a week afloat usually means soft bags plus extras. Crew joining for a handover book in the same way. When the charter ends, boats are normally emptied in the morning, so the pickup for the flight home has to suit both the crew's deadline and your departure.
Kalkan and Kaş: Dalaman or Antalya
These two towns are the only ones on this list where Antalya Airport is a serious alternative. Kalkan belongs firmly to Dalaman: the drive west is much shorter than the run to Antalya, and it is the usual way in. Kaş lies nearer the middle of the coast; Dalaman is still the closer airport, but by a margin narrow enough that the flight often decides it: when it lands, whether it needs a change of plane, and whether it operates in your month at all. Dalaman's timetable thins out sharply after the summer season, while Antalya keeps a larger year-round network, so in winter the answer can flip.
Both airports serve this stretch of coast well, and nothing ties you to the same one in each direction. Since each transfer is booked on its own, landing at one and leaving from the other is no complication. Transfers from Antalya Airport to Kaş and Kalkan are covered elsewhere on the site, and if you are still choosing flights, send us both arrival times and we will describe what each would mean for the evening on the road.
Frequently asked questions
Which resorts can we reach by private transfer from Dalaman Airport?
West of the airport: Sarıgerme, Dalyan, Marmaris and İçmeler. East: Göcek, Fethiye and Çalış, Ovacık and Hisarönü, and Ölüdeniz, and further along the Lycian coast Kalkan and Kaş. Each is a one-way leg with a car and driver to yourselves, priced per vehicle and fixed in advance.
Where does the driver meet us at Dalaman Airport?
In the arrivals hall of the international terminal, after passport control and baggage reclaim, with a sign bearing the lead passenger's name. If you arrive on a domestic flight, for example connecting through Istanbul, give us that flight number, because the domestic terminal is a separate building.
Our charter lands after midnight and might be delayed. Is that a problem?
No. Late arrivals are routine on this coast. The pickup is tied to the flight number, not to the timetable, so a late aircraft simply means a later meeting. Keep a phone on once you are on the ground and message us if the baggage belt holds you up.
Should we fly into Dalaman or Antalya for Kaş or Kalkan?
For Kalkan, Dalaman is the much shorter drive. For Kaş, Dalaman is still nearer but the difference is modest, so flight times, connections and the season often weigh more. Dalaman has far fewer flights outside summer. Arriving at one airport and leaving from the other is fine, since every transfer is booked one way.
Can you take us straight to a yacht in Göcek or Marmaris?
Yes. Send the name of the boat, which marina it lies in and the berth or pontoon when you book so the car stops at the right gate. If boarding is hours after you land, tell us at booking and we will plan a wait, a stop or a later pickup.
Can we book the return to the airport at the same time?
Yes. The return is a separate leg with its own fixed price and can sit in the same booking. Our departure pages for the Fethiye side, for Marmaris, Dalyan and Sarıgerme, and for Kaş and Kalkan explain how early the car should come for your flight.
