Going back, the hotel row unrolls in reverse: first the open two kilometres out of Kundu, then four roundabouts through Kemerağzı and Lara to Güzeloba, and last the run north along the airport's eastern side to the terminal. The boulevard is what decides the morning. In the small hours it is almost empty and the 19 km take the 25 minutes quoted; later, coaches collecting departing guests stop at gate after gate, and a queue at a single roundabout can cost more than the rest of the trip.

The resort itself adds minutes that the road does not. The hotel gives its site as 118,000 square metres, with rooms spread over several buildings, so the walk from a far block to the lobby with cases is a real one; ask reception the evening before about a trolley or a porter, and be in the lobby with the bags at the agreed hour. Book the pickup under Ducale Lara, Yaşar Sobutay Bulvarı 94, and the car comes to the main entrance on the boulevard side.

• Count back from the departure time: 25 minutes of road, a few more if coaches are working the boulevard, then whatever your airline asks for at the terminal.
• With an afternoon flight, ask reception about a late check-out or a day room; the car comes at the hour you booked, whatever the room arrangement.
• The fare is set per vehicle when you book, so a slow line of coaches at the Lara roundabouts lengthens the trip without touching the price.
