Antalya Airport to Antalya City Center transfer
Antalya is not a resort but a working city of well over a million people, built along the cliffs of its own bay. The old quarter, Kaleiçi, sits inside the walls above the harbour, with Hadrian's Gate at one edge and lanes of restored Ottoman houses behind it. Konyaaltı beach stretches west under the mountains, Lara's sand lies east, and in between are a tram line, a covered bazaar, museums and ordinary neighbourhoods that stay open all winter. People choose the centre when they want a city to walk around, not a hotel band by the sea.
The airport sits on the city's eastern edge, which makes this one of the shortest runs on the coast: 13 km, normally about 20 minutes. The road heads west on the D400 through the eastern districts and into town, never really leaving the built-up area. Morning and early-evening traffic can add ten minutes or so, and the closer your address is to the harbour the slower the final part becomes, because the streets narrow as they drop towards Kaleiçi. Late in the evening the same drive is quick and the centre is easy to reach.
