Antalya Airport to Lara transfer
Lara is the hotel strip just east of Antalya's centre and the closest resort area to the airport. Large themed five-star properties stand in their own gardens behind a long run of sand, and at the western end the Düden stream reaches the coast and drops off the cliff straight into the sea. Behind the hotels the land is flat and open, while the city, its old town and its bazaars are a short ride away. Guests come for the beach and for what the hotel itself offers rather than for a town to wander through.
At roughly 15 km this is one of the shortest common transfers on the coast, around 20 minutes door to door, which is why arriving guests often make it onto the beach the same afternoon. The car leaves the airport, picks up the coastal road east and turns down towards the sea. What stretches the drive is the strip itself: hotel access roads are long, and in high season several coaches can be unloading at one entrance at once. Early mornings and late evenings, the whole run is over almost before it starts.
