Two things decide the departure from Club Boran Mare Beach. The first is the name: because operators list it under both Beldibi and Göynük, the pickup booking should give the hotel name with Göynük written beside it, so nobody heads for the wrong village. The second is the neighbour: Seven Seas Hotel Life sits only a short distance to the north, and in the early dark two hotel entrances this close look alike, so wait at the Boran Mare door with the cases already out of the room.

Leaving the seafront, the car climbs to the D400 at Göynük and then has the whole of Beldibi, the tunnels and Konyaaltı to cover before Antalya's ring road. On an early flight the 52 km take about 50 minutes, because the road is empty at that hour. A departure after lunch is different: the coast still flows, but the city end can slow, so build that margin into the pickup hour. Count back from the check-in deadline on your ticket, add the drive and the margin, and give the driver that time when you book.

• If you want a last walk along Göynük's shops on the final morning, keep it to the hours before checkout so the luggage is packed and ready when the car arrives.
• Mention pushchairs, beach gear and any extra bags on the departure booking, because the boot space is planned before the car leaves for Göynük.
