The way out is simpler than the way in. The car retraces the village streets, past the T-junction and the roundabout, down to the same traffic lights, and there the turn for Antalya is a right one onto the westbound carriageway, with nothing to cross. Allow a few minutes for that kilometre through the village, which never moves at highway speed. From the lights it is 109 km and about 90 minutes back along the coast: through Avsallar, İncekum and Okurcalar, over the Alara, then through Manavgat, the stretch where the hour of the day makes the most difference, and across the plain past Serik and Aksu to the terminal.

The hotel asks for rooms to be vacated by 12:00 on the day of departure, which suits a midday pickup and leaves an evening flight with an afternoon to fill. If that afternoon is for the beach, remember that it is a shuttle ride away across the highway: ask reception the day before where the cases can wait, and keep a change of clothes apart from them. For a flight in the small hours, settle the bill the evening before and be at the entrance with everything a few minutes early, because the driver comes up through the village to the hotel and waits there, not down on the highway.

• If your airline wants you at the desk two hours before departure, an eleven o'clock flight means a pickup at about seven: 90 minutes of road, a little extra for the village streets and a margin for the terminal.
• In the summer concept the main restaurant serves a night soup from midnight to 02:00, so a pickup at one or two in the morning can start with a hot bowl instead of nothing at all.
• You pay per vehicle, at the price fixed when you book, so the kilometre through the village is part of the agreed route rather than an extra on the day.
