Going back, the car has to head west, and from the sea side of the highway that means joining the far carriageway at one of Konaklı's junctions before the open road begins. Before dawn it is a matter of a minute; on a busy summer morning, with local traffic moving through the town, allow a few more. After that it is the coast in reverse — Türkler, Avsallar, Okurcalar, then Manavgat and the plain to the terminal — 114 km, roughly 95 minutes when the roads are ordinary.

The hotel sits in a side street rather than on the highway itself, so the pickup happens at its own entrance on Nergiz Sokak, where the cases can be loaded at the door. If the last hours go on the beach, the walk back, a shower and closing the luggage all have to fit before the agreed time, because that is when the car pulls up. Charter flights to northern Europe often leave early in summer, so count the pickup back from the departure time and not from breakfast.
