Going home, the six are not quite the same distance from the terminal. B Suites, on the Antalya side of Side, has the shortest run back, Goia beyond the old town the longest, and the four on the western side fall in between. The gap is a matter of minutes rather than half an hour, but an early pickup is built out of exactly those minutes, so work the time out from your own gate rather than from the brand.

The car climbs back to the D400 and turns west; door to terminal it is roughly 65 km and an hour, with the traffic thickening as the road nears Antalya. A late-morning or midday departure wants more margin than one before dawn, when the highway is at its emptiest. At the far end, Antalya's terminals are separate buildings some way apart, so the airline on your ticket decides where you are set down.

• Name your airline when you book the return, so you are set down outside the right terminal and not merely the closest one.
• If you are moving between Barut hotels mid-holiday, say from Hemera to Goia, book that hop as a transfer of its own: it is only minutes by car, but it crosses the town.
• Set the pickup at booking by working back from your flight: allow the hour on the road, then add however early your airline asks you to check in.
