Leaving is the simple direction here, thanks to the same divided highway that made the arrival roundabout. The car comes down the lane, runs east along the service road to the Türkler lights and turns right, straight onto the westbound carriageway: no turning point to find, no lanes to cross against the traffic. From those lights it is 109 km to the terminal, and the 90 minutes hold for an ordinary run. Daytime departures lose their slack in Manavgat, where the D400 passes through the town; before dawn the same road is close to empty from end to end.

Two checks are worth making before the time is fixed. The first is the airport: this end of the coast is also served by Gazipaşa-Alanya, about 61 km east of the hotel, so make sure the ticket says AYT before arranging a car to Antalya. The second is the clock: count back from the flight, allowing the 90 minutes of driving plus the time your airline asks you to be at the terminal; between the lane and the open highway there is only the Türkler junction, so the road itself adds nothing to the sum.

• Wait for the car at the entrance on the lane, not on the beach side of the highway: a vehicle heading for Antalya runs on the westbound carriageway and has no way to stop by the sea.
• Friends at Haydarpasha Palace, directly across the lane, can share the same vehicle; give both hotel names when you book so both entrances are on the driver's list.
• A final swim fits into a late departure as long as it ends in time: from the sand it is the underpass and the lane back to the entrance, so be there, changed and packed, at the agreed hour.
