The highway that makes the arrival easy also shapes the departure. The Club's exit joins only the eastbound lanes, pointing towards Avsallar, so the journey to Antalya starts with a short run the wrong way to the first point where the car can turn; then it comes back west past the Club itself, the Resort and the Royal in turn. Before sunrise that costs very little. Later in the morning the D400 between here and Manavgat fills with excursion coaches and local traffic, and the turn, small as it is, belongs in the arithmetic.

Once heading west, the 101 km run back goes through Okurcalar, the slow stretch across Manavgat and the open plain past Serik and Aksu; plan on 85 minutes plus the turn at the start. If a pushchair or an extra bag has joined the family during the holiday, add it to the booking, and ask again for the child seats you had on arrival, because they are fitted before the car leaves for İncekum, not at the gate.

• Friends at the neighbouring Pegasos hotels with a flight at the same time can share one vehicle; list each hotel when booking, and the pickups follow the order of the road.
• Some flights for this stretch of coast use Gazipaşa-Alanya instead of Antalya; look for GZP or AYT on the ticket before the pickup time is fixed.
