Antalya Airport to Water Planet Aquapark transfer

Water Planet is the water park on the Okurcalar hotel strip, out at the western edge of the Alanya district, attached to a hotel complex that sits behind the same shore. Slides, pools and a tangle of flumes fill the ground between the buildings and the sea, which puts it in a different category from a standalone park: this is a resort attraction that outside visitors can sometimes use, and whether they can on any given date is the first thing to settle. The Taurus foothills stand close behind the strip, so the flat coastal shelf here is narrow.

From Antalya Airport it is 95 km and about 80 minutes, easily the longest run of this group, and the only one where the park is far closer to your hotel than to your plane. On the strip itself it is a few minutes. From Side or Alanya the D400 brings you here in roughly half an hour from either direction, and those are the journeys most people actually make. From Antalya, Belek or Kemer, a water park alone does not justify the road, and the honest advice is to pick one nearer or build a whole Alanya day around it.

Visiting Water Planet Aquapark

This fills a day, and at this distance that makes the booking arithmetic plain. From a hotel on the strip you are set down after breakfast and collected again towards the end of the afternoon, and those two short runs cost less of everything than a car standing idle. From further along the coast — Side one way, Alanya the other — the car waiting is the more practical answer, because sending it back and out again is an hour of road each time. Say which you want at the time of booking, and give the pickup an hour that assumes the children will not want to leave.

The day settles into a rhythm rather than a route: slides in the morning while the queues are short and the paving is still bearable, a long flat middle around the pools, and a slow last hour when everyone is too tired to climb any more steps. There is no order to see things in and no exhibit to miss. What the site has that a city water park does not is the sea on the same strip, so the afternoon can move from chlorine to salt water without another car, and the breeze that comes up off it in the second half of the day is the only shade that matters here.

Nothing needs folding into this one — at 95 km from the airport and a full day long, the park is the trip. What is worth knowing is what lies close by for anyone in the party who has no intention of going down a slide. The fine-sand bays at İncekum are a short way east under the pines, Avsallar's ordinary working streets are just beyond, and Alanya lies roughly thirty minutes east on the D400 with Side the same distance west. A driver dropping the rest of you off can take them somewhere better than a poolside chair.

  • Younger children finish hours before the teenagers do, so agree before you go in who is leaving when and what the rest will do.
  • Anything you forget is not a two-minute walk away out here: the strip outside the gates is mostly hotel frontage.
  • The afternoon sun on this stretch of coast is fierce and there is no relief outside the water, which makes the morning hours the ones worth using.
  • Wet steps and hot paving make cheap pool shoes the single most useful thing in the bag, for adults as much as for children.
