Leaving Vox Maris, the car first retraces the boulevards to the D400, and that town stretch is where a departure gains or loses time. Early in the morning the roundabouts are clear and the highway arrives within minutes; from late morning they carry buses, delivery traffic and holiday cars heading for Side, and the same few kilometres take noticeably longer. After that the D400 runs west past the Belek turnings, Serik and Aksu, and the 67 km come to about 60 minutes on a normal day.

Since everyone staying here is an adult, the luggage tends to be simpler than at the family resorts along this coast: no buggies, no car seats to arrange. What matters more is shopping. The bazaar in Manavgat and the shops around Side's old town are a short hop from the hotel, and suitcases that came in light often leave heavy. Tell us how many bags are travelling when you book the return, so the car is chosen for the load and not only for the number of passengers.
