Süral Saray to Antalya Airport: return transfer & taxi

On the last morning the beach is still only a garden path away, which tempts people into one more swim. It works if the cases are already closed and at reception and a dry change of clothes is kept aside; the car stops at the main gate on the shore road, and the driver will not look for you on the sand. Since the Süral entrances sit close together, say Süral Saray and not just Süral when the reception staff call down to confirm the car has arrived.

The road out is the reverse of the arrival: a couple of kilometres north through Çolaklı to the D400, then west through Gündoğdu, over the Köprüçay and on past Serik, the Belek exits and Aksu to the terminals. Gündoğdu is the only built-up stretch, with crossings and turning traffic from mid-morning, while before dawn it is empty. Leave early and the 57 km to the airport take the 55 minutes quoted; on a summer changeover day leave room for coaches collecting from every hotel along this coast.

• Agree the pickup hour at booking, working back from your flight: the drive plus the check-in time your airline requires, which is longer for international departures in summer.
• If the party has grown heavier with beach gear or shopping from Side, give the new number of cases so the vehicle is chosen to fit.
• Child seats for the airport run are booked on the return leg separately and fitted before the car leaves for Çolaklı.
