The way back starts with about three and a half kilometres of town road: up the lane, along Adnan Menderes Bulvarı and Sorgun Bulvarı, and through Manavgat's western outskirts to the D400. At five in the morning those streets are quiet and go by fast; by mid-morning buses, delivery vans and cars heading for the mall slow every junction. After that the highway runs west past the Side turning, Serik and Aksu, and the 70 km fit the 65 minutes except on the busiest summer changeover days.

Sorgun's hotels stand shoulder to shoulder, and the street name in this address is not unique: Paloma Finesse Side, further east, is also on Acısu Mevkii Sokak, at number 24. A pickup in the dark goes most smoothly when the booking names the hotel, the number and its neighbour — Turquoise, No 4, next to Voyage Sorgun. A last swim off the pier on the morning you leave is easy to fit in, but salt and sand travel home in the luggage, so set aside a bag for swimwear and sea shoes the night before.
