The departure run starts by retracing the resort strip westwards: out of the gate, past the Paloma Sencia entrance, round the Belek roundabout and on through Kadriye before the climb north to the D400. Once on the dual carriageway the car makes steady progress west past Aksu, and the total of 37 km is normally covered in about 40 minutes.

Because the adults-only zone and the family areas are spread across the grounds, the walk from some rooms to the main entrance takes longer than people expect, especially with cases. For an early flight, check out the evening before if reception allows it, and ask for luggage help at the time you have set rather than when the car pulls up. The driver waits at the main entrance at the agreed hour, so the schedule starts from your door, not from the barrier.
