Orfeus Park Hotel to Antalya Airport: return transfer & taxi

Heading home, the car rejoins the village road at the junction beside the hotel and climbs inland for nearly two kilometres to the D400. Before dawn that road is deserted. By mid-morning it carries delivery vans, staff buses and coaches collecting guests from several hotels, and waiting to turn onto the highway can cost a few minutes. After that the route is the D400 westbound through Gündoğdu, Serik and Aksu, and the 57 km to the terminal take about 55 minutes when traffic is light.

Because the shows and the disco of all three Orfeus hotels take place here, the last night at Orfeus Park often runs late, and an early pickup then follows a short sleep. Pack and pay the bill before the evening begins. The beach is reached by the hotel shuttle rather than on foot, so anything left at the sunbeds needs a shuttle ride to fetch: collect it on the last afternoon. The car comes to the main entrance on Turizm Caddesi at the hour fixed in the booking, counted back from your flight.

• Fix the pickup when you book: 55 minutes of driving plus the check-in window your airline sets, and a few minutes more if you leave in mid-morning, when the climb to the D400 is busiest.
• Before a late last evening at the shows, put passports, tickets and phone chargers into the hand luggage, not into a suitcase that is already strapped shut.
• If souvenirs from Manavgat or Side have added a bag, say so when you confirm, because a larger vehicle is arranged in advance and cannot be swapped at the gate.
