On departure the car picks you up at the hotel entrance on 277. Sokak. The way out reverses the arrival: through the Kumköy streets back to the D400 and onto it westbound, then 60 km to the terminal in about 55 minutes. Before dawn the streets are empty; from mid-morning on a changeover day, transfer coaches collecting at neighbouring hotels can hold up the first kilometre more than the whole highway does.

Because the hotel stands on the sand, a last swim here costs almost nothing: the beach is a short walk from the rooms, with no road to cross and no shuttle to wait for. Keep it to the early morning all the same, leaving time to shower, finish packing and settle the room before the cases come down. If anyone in the party is at the Queen next door, agree on one meeting point at the Beach entrance, since the driver collects from a single gate.

• Start from the flight time and take off 55 minutes for the road, the check-in time your airline requires and a few minutes for the Kumköy streets.
• Give the flight number when you book, so that the pickup can move if the airline changes the schedule.
