Leaving is the simpler direction here. The gate opens onto the westbound lanes, so the car pulls out, turns right and is already pointed at the airport, with no junction to cross. Then the same 86 km unwind in reverse order: Kızılot, Kızılağaç, the river bridge at Manavgat and the long open run past Serik. Before sunrise the village junctions barely slow the car. From mid-morning in summer the Manavgat section fills with coaches and delivery vans, and the junctions around the town add a few minutes that do not exist at dawn.

On a clear morning the road takes about 75 minutes; the time your airline wants you inside the terminal comes on top of that. This is one of the longer runs on the Side side of the airport, so a pickup set too late hurts more here than it would at a hotel near Belek: settle the hour when you book, count back from the departure time, and tell reception so the luggage is down in good time. If the last afternoon was spent at the pier, keep wet towels and swimwear in a bag of their own, because they share the boot with everything else all the way to the terminal.

• Wait for the car at the main gate on the highway side, not down by the beach; the underpass leads to the sand, not to the road the driver uses.
• With an evening flight and an earlier checkout, ask reception to hold the bags and book the car for the hour the flight needs rather than the hour the room has to be empty.
• The price is agreed per car when you book, so the busy junctions around Manavgat can stretch the clock but cannot change what you pay.
