Leaving the Queen, the car first drives about half a kilometre back up Erhan Demir Bulvarı to Turizm Caddesi, passing the Resort as it goes. It then turns west along Turizm Caddesi, takes the local road north to the D400 and follows the highway west through Gündoğdu and Serik to the terminal. Altogether that is the same 58 km as the arrival and about 55 minutes in light traffic. Set the pickup hour from your flight time when you book, leaving room for the check-in queue your airline expects.

Because the Resort and the Queen share a boulevard and almost the same house number, the departure booking should repeat the full name, Alba Queen Hotel, exactly as on arrival. A driver coming down in the dark is likely to pull in at the first lit Alba sign unless the booking says otherwise. If the family is flying home with more luggage than it brought, mention the extra cases when you confirm the time; a bigger vehicle is arranged in advance, not at the door on the morning of the flight.

• Ask for the pickup at the Queen's own entrance by the bend in Erhan Demir Bulvarı, not at the Resort further up.
• Before a pickup in the dark, keep passports, tickets and phone chargers in a bag you carry, not in the suitcase that goes into the boot first.
• If the airline reschedules your flight, send the new departure time as soon as you know it, since the pickup is planned around the hour in the booking.
