Going home, the town streets come first. From the gate the car winds back between the hotel blocks to the roundabout, follows Cumhuriyet Bulvarı west and climbs north to the D400 at Evrenseki, about three kilometres that take a few minutes before dawn and noticeably longer by mid-morning, when shuttle buses and delivery vans work the same lanes. On the highway it is the arrival in reverse, west past Serik, and the 55 minutes for 60 km is a fair figure outside the busiest summer changeover days.

Because Cesars faces the promenade rather than a main road, the car pulls up on the lane at the gate, well away from highway traffic, which keeps a pre-dawn pickup simple: have the cases in the lobby a few minutes before the agreed hour and the driver will be there. Settle that hour when you book, counting back from the departure time: 55 minutes of road plus whatever your airline asks for at the terminal, which for an international flight in high season is usually around three hours.

• An evening flight after checkout leaves a long afternoon, and with the beach right below the hotel many guests spend it on the sand; an evening pickup is arranged at booking just like any other hour.
• A pushchair or a child seat of your own counts as luggage for the car, so list it with the cases when you book the departure and a vehicle with room for it is sent.
• For an evening pickup in July or August, keep a ten-minute margin for the town streets between the gate and the D400 rather than cutting it fine.
