Antalya Airport to Aktur Park Konyaaltı transfer
Aktur Park is the long-running funfair of Antalya, a lunapark on Atatürk Bulvarı in Konyaaltı that faces the 5M Migros shopping centre across the boulevard and has stood on this plot since 1997. Its landmark is the Heart of Antalya, a Ferris wheel 90 metres high that opened in 2019 and lights up after dark, so it can be picked out from far across the western side of the city. Around the wheel sit more than forty rides, from a coaster and spinning thrill machines to a children's train, along with a tea garden where the grown-ups usually settle.
The transfer from Antalya Airport covers 21 km and takes around 25 minutes. It is a cross-town drive: the terminal lies on the eastern edge of Antalya and the park on the western side, so the car crosses the whole city before it reaches the Konyaaltı boulevards. Outside the evening rush the time holds well; at the end of a working day, the central stretch is where any delay builds up. The wheel appears ahead some way before the car pulls in, which gives children something to watch for over the last few minutes.
Visiting Aktur Park Konyaaltı
Two to three hours suits most families. Published listings give the opening as about 14:00 with the rides running until midnight, but the place properly wakes up once the heat drops and the lights come on, which is why most visits start around dusk. That shape points to one of two bookings: a driver who waits, or a pickup fixed for a set hour late in the evening. Check the hours for your exact date before you book either, because a funfair timetable can shift with the season and with holidays.
The Heart of Antalya is the ride most visitors come for. It carries forty-two enclosed cabins plus four VIP ones, and a full turn lasts about eighteen minutes, long enough to take in the city centre and the Gulf of Antalya from the top. Beyond it the mix runs from gentle to fierce. The Twister Coaster takes riders from 120 cm on their own or 105 cm with an adult, and the 40-metre Rocket needs 130 cm. Smaller children have their own bumper cars, a train and a ball pool, and there is a horror tunnel for those who want one.
The rest of Konyaaltı is close at hand. The 5M Migros centre across the boulevard covers a meal or an air-conditioned break; the Antalya Aquarium and Aqualand are a few minutes away by car, with Konyaaltı Beach beyond them towards the sea. A day that starts on the sand or in the water park and ends on the wheel after dark fits neatly into one district, and the car handles the short hops in between instead of making separate trips across town.
- Measure the children before queuing: height limits are posted at each ride, and the coaster and the Rocket are where they bite.
- Ride the wheel after sunset if you can, when the cabins look out over a lit city and the dark line of the bay.
- Fix a meeting point inside the grounds, such as the foot of the wheel, because evenings are crowded and the paths between rides fill up.
- Adults who are not riding can wait in the tea garden, which keeps the group together within sight of the rides.
