Going back, the geography works in your favour. The lane from the hotel joins the westbound carriageway, which already points towards Antalya, so the car simply turns right out of the entrance and is under way, with no crossing and no turning back. After that it is the arrival road in reverse: Kızılot, Kızılağaç, the bridge at Manavgat, Serik and Aksu. With a clear road the 91 km take about 80 minutes, and the stretch through Manavgat is where the morning traffic builds up first.

With eighty minutes on the road, a morning flight usually means a pickup before first light. Bring anything left at the sunbeds back on the last afternoon, because the beach is on the other side of the highway and nobody wants to walk the underpass in the dark with a car waiting. Settle the bill the evening before. If your flight leaves late in the day, ask reception whether the cases can be stored after checkout, and spend the remaining hours across the road by the sea.
